Having fought hard with the problem of failover clustering VMs with Pass through disks I now have 2 VM's, both with PT disks working perfectly on a 2 node cluster. I created and configured these machines using Hyper-V manager and Failover Cluster Manager, not with VMM.
I now see both the VM's in VMM but one of them has a status of 'Unsupported VM Configuration', hence it can't be managed using VMM.
The other VM is fine in VMM.
The one clue I have is when I click 'View networking' on the good machine in VMM I see the graphical representation of the VM NIC to vSwitch #1. Howver on the failing VM there is no network connection link between the VM NIC and vSwitch #2, even though this network config exists and is valid.
Both machines are operating fine and failover between the nodes is faultless.
Can anyone point me in the right direction to resolve this?
Thanks
