Getting this message when trying to start the SCVMM 08 Admin console from the same machine that SCVMM 08 is installed on:

You cannot access Virtual Machine Manager server localhost.

Ensure that your account is a member of a valid user role, and then try the operation again.

ID: 1604

I'm on a domain, and i've added the domain admins and the administrator account to all three of the SCVMM groups. I'm still unable to connect. Unlike the other posters, it doesn't matter what I put in the connect box. I'm unable to use the IP address nor the hostname.
